Abstract

The book Democratic Education: The Imminent School Revolution, written by Christian Laval and Francis Vergne, was published in 2023 by Vozes Publishing. The work examines how the educational system has been shaped by the dynamics of neoliberal capitalism, highlighting the need for a structural rupture to make schools truly democratic spaces. Throughout its 392 pages, the authors explore the relationships between education, politics, and economics, proposing alternatives for building a more autonomous and inclusive educational model.
